If you love to shop local and support local businesses like I do and you are in the Providence area, you’ll have to check out the Providence Flea Market located at Farm Fresh Market Hall, 10 Sims Avenue, Providence RI 02903. It’s a great place to go and hang out during the winter months because it is indoors but come Spring time, it is even better. The layout is great and all of the local vendors from artists, to bakers, to seafood vendors, knife sharpeners, handcrafted goods, craft beers, cocktails, live music and the list goes on and on. There’s truly something there for everyone. The bay doors open up and extend to their outdoor patio sections which usually have food trucks nearby as well.
The Providence Sunday Flea Market is such a great place to stop and spend some time and connect with local merchants. One thing I love doing is chatting with the food vendors to learn about their process, like for example, the oyster farmers. As a seafood connoisseur, I specifically enjoyed attending their oyster night where local oyster farms all gathered and you had a variety of vendors to choose from. I do hope they have that event this year.
